LAUNCESTON ROAD IN MEMORY OF LEN PHILLIPS

AN EXTENSIVE EXHIBITION IN SOUTH WIGSTON SHOWING “NOW AND THEN”
PHOTOGRAPHS WAS HELD IN 2006

THE OPENING OF REFURBISHED BELL STREET  AND THE
UNVEILING OF THE JUBILEE STONE AND PLAQUE 5TH DECEMBER 2014

IN SEPTEMBER 2015 WE RAN A VERY SUCCESSFUL WORLD WAR 1
"WIGSTON REMEMBERS" CONCERT.
IN DECEMBER 2015, FOLLOWING THE CONCERT, WE DONATED £202.15
TO THE BRITISH LEGION POPPY APPEAL

IN JANUARY 2017 WE TOOK PART, WITH THE OADBY AND WIGSTON COUNCIL, IN REPLACING DAMAGED TREES ON THE LANE OFF CENTRAL AVENUE TO WILLOW PARK. SEE PICTURE SLIDESHOW HERE

IN JUNE 2017 WE ORGANISED A WELL ATTENDED HISTORY WALK OF WIGSTON
BASED ON THE NEWLY PUBLISHED "SIGNIFICANT BUILDINGS" INDEX,
INCORPORATING THE BUILDINGS, BLUE PLAQUES AND
CONSERVATION AREAS OF WIGSTON

IN SEPTEMBER 2017 THE SUBJECT OF OUR ANNUAL LECTURE
WAS AGAIN THE "SIGNIFICANT BUILDINGS" OF WIGSTON, ATTENDED BY
A "FULL HOUSE" AT AGE UK, WIGSTON
