AND THE MERE TRACK’.

The Romans are said to have built over 8,000 miles of metallised rods
in their first 100 years of occupation.  What was there before and how
did the ancient people get around?  What of our local Roman Roads
and the local long distance track, the Mere Track, that runs for part of
its way along the parish boundary of Wigston?
